THE SOUL OF BASEBALL: A ROAD TRIP THROUGH BUCK O"NEIL"S AMERICA BY JOE POSNANSKI

's review

it was amazing

This is a gorgeous book for any baseball or sports fan. Posnanski follows around the much beloved Buck O'Neil as he travels the U.S. speaking at events and meeting baseball fans. While traveling with O'Neil Posnanski hears stories of the Negro Leagues, players from 80 years ago, and the magical and mystical sides of baseball.

The writing is beautiful, the stories are ones I had never heard, and O'Neil is every bit as joyful about life as he is about baseball. Highly recommended for any sports fan and a must read for any baseball fan.
